Industrial overhead crane maintenance bay with diagnostic tablet and technician tools

Prototype validation for crane and hoist diagnostics

LiftMate guides qualified technicians one test at a time.

LiftMate is an AI troubleshooting assistant built for overhead crane and hoist technicians. It helps guide qualified technicians through electrical troubleshooting one step at a time using symptoms, meter readings, manuals, wiring diagrams, and structured fault-isolation logic.

Currently in prototype validation for controlled testing, internal review, and pilot discussion.

Overhead cranes Bridge, trolley, hoist, brake, limits, drive, and control power faults.
Stepwise logic One reading at a time, with branch decisions based on the technician response.
Diagram aware Connector labels, wire IDs, sheet continuations, and probe points stay in context.

What it does

A practical assistant for messy electrical troubleshooting.

LiftMate is tuned for the problems that slow crane service calls down: dead controls, one-direction travel, brake release failures, pendant faults, VFD input issues, and diagram labels that continue across sheets.

01

Reads the job context

Keep the machine, symptom, diagram context, and prior readings together across turns.

02

Chooses the next probe

Ask for the measurement that separates likely branches instead of guessing a part.

03

Tracks evidence

Final calls are grounded in readings the technician actually reported.

04

Tests regressions

Saved scenarios compare behavior across versions to surface missed branches and drift.

Testing & validation

Internal regression testing is part of the product.

In the v4.1 reviewed first-response regression set, LiftMate passed 64 of 75 structured scenarios and averaged 6.25 out of 7. The result is useful prototype evidence, not a field-performance claim.

Workflow

From symptom to supported fault isolation.

  1. 1 Upload diagrams

Give LiftMate the PDF wiring package before the first symptom when one is available.

  2. 2 Describe the failure

Start with the machine, command, symptom, voltage class, and what still works.

  3. 3 Report readings

Answer each requested test so the assistant can narrow the fault path.

  4. 4 Review the evidence

Use the test trail to support the next action while following site procedures.
